Today I planted the last 3 bags from Tom Wagner's potato sampler, a little late I know, but I had to find space. Also got 10 stalks of Maize Morado into the ground which were started in cells about a month ago, and I transplanted 8 varieties of lettuce, among them were several red leaf types, a red romaine, Australian yellow leaf and Forellenschluss. Also got a 6 pack of sunberries I started from seed into the ground. These past few days have been a gardener's dream weatherwise. Tomorrow I hope to turn over the rest of the corn beds and get those cucurbits into the ground.

Maize Morado, I look forward to hearing about how it does for you. We are going to plant some Blue Jade corn for the first time in the next couple of weeks. At least I hope so as we are quickly running out of room and corn is at the bottom of the totem pole.
I'm really sorry to hear about your frosted plants, we have had that happen many times before as well... last year was a weather nightmare for us, so you have my sympathy.
I was also going to try sunberries this year but the seeds I ordered did not ship... no sunberries for me, perhaps next year.
Anyway, I just wanted to stop by, say hi, and let you know that I really like your blog.
Mike
Wow, thanks Mr. H! Actually, as I write this I have 10 kernals of Baby Blue Jade corn being pre-sprouted. They will be sown outside tomorrow. I just hope the season is long enough for the Morado to form ears~I have no idea how long to maturity. As for the frost, it's my own fault, I should have known better.
Thanks for stopping by!
J
