red cabbage-too obviousI am also impatiently awaiting the release of new purple varieties of Pumpkins, Cucumbers, Paw Paws and purple Karelas. What's the hold up, breeders?

What a great idea. Purple mustard greens have naturalized in my yard and they are quite pretty. I also have violas and johnny jump-ups in this one planter that grow all together and make a purple carpet.
You might like Black currants - they're really easy to grow, shade tolerant, and loaded with all those good healthy purple fruit anthocyanins as well as high Vit C content and GLA in the seeds.
